Who we are.
We are the response to a calling.
Founder, Bonnie Vidlund, saw a homeless man laying on the street and said, "God, he's cold, he needs a blanket."
In response God replied, "That's what I want you to do for me. Make a blanket, put my word on it as large as possible. With prayer, give it to others and let them know how much I love them."
Covered With Christ started with a calling and continues to faithfully seek God for each step as we go where he leads.
We bring comfort, love, & hope.
We are a 501c3 non-profit in the Twin Cities, that exists to bring comfort to people in our community and beyond.
We provide Hope Blankets as a tangible way to extend God's love and hope. We partner with individuals, ministries, churches and organizations who share our mission, to distribute Hope Blankets to those who are hurting.
We value two things above all:
We believe ALL people are created in the image of God and have access to God's amazing love, protection and peace.
We believe the Hope Blanket does not discriminate, but reaches out to ALL hurting people in need of comfort, care, and love.

Our tangible impact.
Hope Blankets serve as a dignity-giving gift as a catalyst to share the Gospel and as a tangible tool our Mission Partners use as they continue to provide healing to those in their care. Its design offers words of comfort with the verse from Psalms 91, giving a message of protection, refuge, safety, love, and comfort. The Eagle, represents honor, respect, truth, strength, courage, wisdom, power and freedom and resonates as a meaningful symbol for many individuals we serve.
The HOPE Blanket has also been offered as an honored gift to our Native American community to Native American Chiefs and Tribal Leaders for special services, and to other leaders in our communities, veterans and active military persons, and ministries that help in the restoration of relationships.
